How do I pay for Tiki?
By credit card. Tiki happily accepts all the major flavors. We charge your card at the beginning of each month of service. If you sign up for or later opt to upgrade to one of our paying plans, you are automatically billed monthly to your credit card on file.
What’s your refund policy?
Tiki is a service that you pay for on a month-to-month basis, and you’re free to cancel your account at any time. We don’t provide refunds, and don’t prorate accounts that are cancelled in the middle of a billing cycle. If you cancel your account, you’ll only be charged for the month for which you’ve already paid.
Where is Tiki hosted? Is my data backed up? Is it secure?
Tiki is hosted on MetaFoundry’s host infrastructure, which is managed by Peer 1 Networks—a world leader in hosting provision. We use two Peer 1 data centers, one in Miami and one in Atlanta. We take all commercially reasonably precautions to secure our customer data. Data is backed up nightly in multiple locations. Learn more about Peer 1’s facility and service level.
Can I put Tiki on my own server?
Tiki is only available as a hosted service managed by MetaFoundry, so there’s no software for you to download or manage—we take care of Tiki, its hosting, security, backups, upgrades, all that stuff, so you can take care of getting things done.
Ticketing Process
What is the lifecycle of a ticket?
Here's a typical scenario:
- A ticket for the change request is opened in Tiki by a Project Manager. Specifics for the change request are detailed in the ticket. Tiki will automatically assign a change request number and note the date of the ticket’s creation.
- The Project Manager assigns the task to a team member (the Assignee) and establishes a completion date.
- Upon completion of the change request, The Assignee enters a short comment summarizing the changes.
- The Assignee updates the ticket as "Resolved" in Tiki and includes any development and production notes. The ticket will be automatically returned to the ticket creator, usually the Project Manager. Tiki will automatically note the date of resolution on the ticket.
- The change passes muster, and the Project Manager marks the ticket as "Closed" in Tiki and includes any notes on the development and production of the change request. Tiki will automatically note the date of completion of the change request on the ticket.
What else can I do with a ticket?
You can do tons of fun stuff with a ticket! Here are few things to get you started:
- Add comments and notify anyone on your team
- View the history of anything that's ever happened to that ticket
- View the creator, last modifier, and the dates the ticket was created and modified
- Log time in Basecamp for this ticket
Basecamp Integration
How do I enable Basecamp Integration?
Basecamp Integration must be enabled during the signup process. If you have in error not enabled Basecamp Integration, please cancel your account and contact support@tikiden.com; we will re-instate your invitation immediately.
A couple of things need to match up exactly, so that Tiki can connect to your Basecamp account. These include the Name of your company (you can get this from your Basecamp login screen -- case is important), the Name of the Basecamp Account Holder, your URL, and your Password.
Additionally, you must have the Basecamp API enabled. You can enable this is in Basecamp under Account.
What's my Basecamp Company Name?
Your Basecamp Company Name is in the title bar of your Basecamp homepage

Where do my tickets go?
Your Tiki ticket becomes a Todo on Basecamp. When you mark the ticket as "Closed," it completes your To–Do on Basecamp.
How do I import my projects?
- Update your Basecamp Snapshot (a cache of all your Basecamp info)
- Receive an email from Tiki ("Your Snapshot has been updated")
- Import or Update your Basecamp projects into Tiki
